CHDA’s offices are situated in the renovated and restored Old Law Court Building, located in a unique cultural complex which includes the Fort Jesus Museum and other cultural institutions.
The Secretariat
CHDA’s secretariat consists of a reception area, four offices, a photocopy area, and a meeting room.
The Lecture Room
CHDA’s main multi-functional lecture room can hold up to 35 participants at a time.
The Computer Room
Workshop and course participants have access to 4 computers and colour printers. A scanner and internet connections can also be made available.
The Library
The Fort Jesus Museum Library, also located in the Old Law Court Building, has an excellent selection of books and didactic materials relating to heritage issues, which are available to CHDA participants.
The Education Hall
Shared with the National Museums of Kenya, the Education Hall is an excellent venue for lectures, presentations, courses, and other large group activities.Additional facilities which CHDA has access to include an Audio Visual Room, a Conservation Lab and an Exhibition Gallery, all located in the Old Law Court Building, and ample storage spaces and open-air discussion areas at Fort Jesus Museum.
