Postgraduate Diploma in the Management of Museum & Heritage Collections
September 2002 to June 2003
The course shall provide skills and competencies to enable museum workers to contribute to the effective management and conservation of museum and heritage collections and to providing leadership to the profession in Africa.
The inaugural course started on 30th September 2002 and ends on June 13th 2003. It has brought together 12 participants from Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
This 9 months course will be held at the PMDA every two years. Read more.
PMDA Newsletter 1
The first Issue of the PMDA Newsletter is with the printers. This issue provides an overview of PMDA and its activities during its 2000-2002 building phase. Future editions of this annual publication will include news about other projects, regional initiatives, current research, and other network news provided or written by professionals from or interested in museums in Sub-Saharan Africa.
